Happy Cakes (German Pancakes)

An all time family favorite! Golden & fluffy & buttery OH MY.

Ingredients

1 cup flour

1 cup milk

6 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla

Dash of salt

4 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

  2. Place 4 tablespoons butter in a 9x12 baking dish and slide it into the oven while it preheats. Let it melt completely (watch so it doesn’t burn!).

  3. While the butter melts, blend together the flour, milk, eggs, vanilla, and salt until smooth and bubbly.

  4. Once the butter is melted, carefully pour the batter into the hot dish.

  5. Bake for 15–20 minutes, until puffed up and golden around the edges.

  6. Serve warm with maple syrup, fresh fruit, or a sprinkle of powdered sugar.
